Bronze on painted wood - 23x23x4cm

Unique sculpture in cast bronze on black painted wood. Inspired by maps and showing an incomplete view. This represents the partial nature of what we notice when we are out in the landscape; we don’t see everything and remember even less.

The bronze is cast thin and only partially fills when pouring the bronze. This gives organic holes through the piece which looks like the map is dissolving or decaying.

There is a fitting on the back to hang this piece on a nail or screw, with rubber buffers to raise it off the wall. Bronze care instructions are also affixed to the back.

Suitable for indoor use only, but can be hung in full sun.
