Unique sculpture in layered rusted steel with cast bronze centrepiece. Inspired by microscopic images of pollen grains and layering similar to contours on a map. This wall mounted piece has surprising depth created by shadows from the different elements and uses the unusual combination of a polished bronze form with the contrasting colour and texture of rusted sheets of steel.
 
The cast bronze feature is a unique cast, patinated blue with the tips of the spikes and edge of the hole polished back to the metal (gold coloured). It sits on a black painted background, with two layers of rusted steel sheets around it which have been sealed and varnished to prevent further rusting. These are enclosed in a deep black wooden frame. There are keyhole fixings on the back to hang this piece on two screws. Bronze care instructions are also affixed to the back.
 
Suitable for indoor use only, but can be hung in full sun.
